Sasquatch symposium coming to the Smokies

Sasquatch symposium coming to the Smokies

With wildfires becoming a bigger and bigger threat to forests and wildlife throughout the States, Smokey the Bear’s proverb, “Only You Can Prevent Wildfires,” has never been more relevant. The saying is especially important for all those camping and hiking along the border of North Carolina and Tennessee in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, where a wildfire nearly claimed the whole of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, the self-proclaimed Gateway to the Smokies, just a few short years ago.

Now, there’s apparently a new danger afoot in picturesque east Tennessee, and it might be time for Smokey to update his motto to warn unsuspecting passersby: “Only You Can Prevent Wildfires… Oh, And Keep A Lookout For Bigfoot While You’re At It!” That’s right, Bigfoot is apparently alive and well in the Smokies!

On July 27, 2019, the Smoky Mountain Bigfoot Conference is being hosted for the first time at the Gatlinburg Convention Center in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Special guests will include Cliff Barackman, co-host of Animal Planet’s “Finding Bigfoot,” and Congressman Tim Burchett, a noted Squatch enthusiast. Book your trip today!

Will Bigfoot be found in the Smokies?

Are you looking for Bigfoot? You may just find him in the Smokies this summer! The Smoky Mountain Bigfoot Conference is being hosted for the first time ever at the Gatlinburg Convention Center on July 27. It is an all day event and features speakers from all over, including Cliff Barackman, co-host of Animal Planet’s “Finding Bigfoot.”
