Zach Bales, UFO expert from Somerset, Kentucky, has advice for would-be Area 51 stormers

It started as a joke on social media. Now, it’s become a full-fledged rallying cry for those seeking the truth about Area 51, the mysterious government installation deep in the Nevada desert.

In July, the campaign to Storm Area 51 was born, with UFO enthusiasts eyeballing Saturday, September 20, 2019 as the date of their attack.

“They can’t stop all of us!” they exclaimed.

Zach Bales, a ufologist who has spent most of the summer traveling to conventions and festivals across the country to speak about the event, doesn’t think storming the restricted military base is such a good idea.

“The desert has eyes,” Bales explains. “They’ll know you’re coming. Not to mention, breaching the border of Area 51 is illegal. It comes with a hefty fine and jail time.”

“There was a sign on Groom Lake Road at the entrance to Area 51 for years,” Bales continues. “It read ‘Use of Deadly Force Authorized.’ Do you really want to test their patience?”
